untitled

there is no main street

Yeah, you think you know me, and you know me so well.
It’s like crafting a Lovecraftian tale.

Corporate greed, an RSS feed, a political hotline to you.
Innocent deed, a new law decreed, as stupid as your point of view.

There’s no such thing as main street; let me stop you; you’re done.
There is only one street, and it orbits the sun.

Your problem isn’t Wall Street. Your problem isn’t me.
You know you’d sell out if you could…

And all I can say:
there is no main street.
And all I can do
is try to defeat your daily déjà vu. (Go!)

Take down your waving flags; you don’t need to bear arms.
Churches are a plague that cause regression and harm.

Ultrasecure with your foot in the door. Hello. Thank you. How do?
Nailed to the floor, we must endure the madness you take kindly to.

The b-i-b-l-e is not the book for me;
I pledge allegiance to myself; there ain’t no land of the free.

The villain is known, so put down the phone. Now shut up; here’s a review:
Everyone’s prone to a brain full of bone, but why did it have to be you?

Yeah, you think you know me; you don’t know me so well.
It’s like drafting and redrafting; your revising will fail.

Your problem isn’t concrete. Your problem isn’t me.
You’ll believe what makes you sleep at night…

And all I can say:
there is no main street.
And all I can do
is try to defeat your daily déjà vu.

And all the liars sing:

“Gentlemen, gentlemen.
We’ve got this down.
We’ve got this one.

And gentlemen, gentlemen.
They’ve got your town.
They’ve taken your town.
Conqueror’s keepers…”

There is no main street…
There is only one street…
